The FTC, DOJ, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the EEOC released their joint statement outlining a commitment to enforce their respective laws and regulations to promote responsible innovation in automated systems. GPT Back in Italy
As we covered in a previous newsletter, Chat GPT was banned in Italy due to privacy concerns. However, Italy has now reversed course and has allowed OpenAI to relaunch Chat GPT in Italy.
OpenAI said on Friday it will provide greater visibility of its privacy policy and user content opt-out form.
It will also provide a new form for European Union users to exercise their right to object to its use of personal data to train its models.
The form requires people who want to opt out to provide detailed personal information, including evidence of data processing via relevant prompts.
AI in Elections
The past 6 months in AI have felt like years. New applications are being built every day. We can now create: text, video, photos, voices and more using AI with just a simple prompt. How will this effect the upcoming presidential election and all elections going forward as the line from real to fake is starting to blur.
We might have just gotten a sneak peak into how it will look. The past week as current president Joe Biden announced his intent to run for reelection the Republican National Committee (RNC) released a video response using AI. All the images in the video were created by AI and are not real. The images all show a dystopian view of how the US will look if Biden is reelected.
This will interesting to track going forward as regulators start to take a closer look at AI technology and its applications.
First look at the RNC’s video response to US President Joe Biden running for reelection.
Images have been generated by AI to depict what the US would look like if Biden wins re-election.
Looks like AI will play a big role in the upcoming election.
